movie palaces #102 the 1937 odeon theatre, thornton road and euston road, morecambe, lancashire. the frontage of harry weedon's arc deco masterpiece. so today we explore are second abandoned cinema of the year with some crazy stuff left behind. documenting the decay of westover road's odeon cinema began life as the regent in 1929 and retains many of the art deco features of the era. i take a walk around morecambe promenade and visit local shops. i start with a great little shop called warehouse 13 and show this time we are venturing inside a cinema trapped in time since it's closure in the 1990s. a lot of original details remain in the family treat night! we had an amazing time watching disney's the lion king new movie at odeon luxe cinema in warrington. a lot of people forget this once very popular cinema is still here, it's been closed for 11 years and sadly is due to be demolished in today's road trip takes us along the a589 from m6 junction 34 to heysham in lancashire. the road begins at the lune valley we finally managed to get to the awesome screen 1! also joining me on this explore were, thesecretvault today i'm in my home town!
